I don’t want this to end!  I am so accustomed to “diet rules” I feel like I have to have rules to “do it right”!  Another opportunity to detox my mind as well as my body!  I can continue this even without the “rules” cuz it just makes me feel so good!  DC, Age 50 
I am on day 3 of the cleanse and I feel AMAZING! I have been on fad diets since I was 18.  My dr. at the time "made me" do my first one using diabetic exchanges basically.  From there, it's been a journey from one to another to find the magic combination of weighing, measuring, addiction to scales and SOOOOO many rules about what to eat and what not to eat.  It has been interesting in this detox process listening to my thoughts "no cooked carrots or onions"…"potatoes are bad"…"only 1/2 banana"…and on and on and on!  During this process I am trying to change those thoughts and say "it's ok to have potatoes…and bananas…and cooked onions IN MODERATION!"  I guess I have a rule where what is good for me must taste boring…bland…I must feel deprived.  I'm trying to be very conscious of those thoughts and change them.  I LOVE potatoes…I LOVE bananas…and I LOVE cooked onions!  It also feels like I'm trusting myself instead of some company who is getting rich from my dollars!!!  One of the things I told my husband this summer was when the kids got back to school I wanted to look into finding a nutritionist to work with instead of another crazy diet!  CD, Age 53 
This has been a journey and I am enjoying it.  For me the biggest thing, is I am single and live alone so it is hard to cook for one.  I am realizing my problem was I would cook one thing and eat it till i was sick of it, but I am now fixing several different dishes and then eat different things for different meals and days.  One of my issues is being on the run alot so having good food ready and available to eat has been a lifesaver.  I can cook one day and have food for all week.  I am finding that Kale does has some redeeming qualities but am working on some of the other green foods.  I am open to new ideas and ways to incorporate new foods in to my diet.  You have been a big help and i am learning and growing as a person daily.  I also am making myself take time to eat.  I do set down at the table with pretty dishes and a place mat, but I still rush, I am learning to eat slow and savor the food.  Part of it is from having a 20 minute lunch hour for years.  I like this because it isn't just about the food, it is the whole body and being in tune with it.  It has been helpful and am looking for ward to the rest of the 10 days.  AR  Age 40

I didn't think I could actually do it, but it has been a most wonderful experience.  I look at foods differently and find my body needs and wants more vegetables.  You have helped me experience new ways of cooking vegetables that is very exciting and really not that hard.  I think everyone should have this experience and I  have no problem recommending this to my friends & family.
I think the most valuable experience I have learned is to listen to my body.  It's not just about losing weight, which is usually my goal when I try to change my eating habits.  It's much more when you think about your health and just learning to do things that will make you feel better so that you are able to give in a more productive way.  I have lost about 4 pounds, which I am grateful for but I plan to continue to learn more to change my mindset that "I am too old to change". ha!  EW Age 62
